Christopher Poresky is a graduate student in the Nuclear Engineering Department at UC Berkeley. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Berkeley. He works in Dr. Per Peterson’s Thermal Hydraulics Group on an experimental test loop that simulates the operation of an advanced nuclear reactor. His research focuses on fault detection with an emphasis on system modeling and control. Chris is also engaged on projects concerning cybersecurity, international cooperation, and public outreach. In his free time, he has been known to enjoy writing poetry, reading graphic novels, listening to jazz, and trying to find excuses to go outside.
