Apratim Vidyarthi is an junior studying Nuclear Engineering and Applied Math, with a concentration in Quantum Mechanics, at the University of California, Berkeley. He has been involved in research at the University of California Nuclear Materials Laboratory since November, 2012. He currently serves as the president of the University of California Berkeley Model United Nations (UCBMUN) team. This combination of interests in international relations and science serves to further his experience in the areas of nuclear energy and weapons policy, nuclear nonproliferation, nuclear waste management, and development economics. He plans to work in the nuclear energy or nuclear nonproliferation industries after graduating, and then continuing to graduate school.
