ELSA LEMAITRE-XAVIER

Elsa Lemaître-Xavier received a double Master of Science diploma from the University of California, Berkeley and Ecole Polytechnique, one of France’s leading engineering school, in December 2013. Her research interests are focus on nuclear waste management. Under the supervision of Pr J. Ahn, Elsa worked as a researcher assistant for 20 months on various projects including modeling the evolution of plutonium isotopes and thus its potential criticality risks in a deep geological repository, as well as analyzing a complete fuel cycle that includes a Deep Burn Modular High Temperature Reactor. After being a devoted member of the Nuclear Policy Working Group during its first year of existence, Elsa is now back to France working for ANDRA, France’s public agency responsible of nuclear waste disposal.
