Nuclear Policy Working Group members self-assemble into research teams, and work together to explore the technical and political aspects of a topic of their choosing in nuclear security. Research projects examine the nuclear security policy issues of a topic with roots in at least one of the technical focus areas of the NSSC. These include nuclear engineering, nuclear chemistry, nuclear physics and radiation detection and instrumentation. As is the case with this field, many projects overlap with several technical focus areas.
